BAC Music Center - For instruments and repairs.
SUPPLIES
Not all supplies are created equal and some do not work correctly, causing frustration for the player. These are the supplies that I personally use.
EQUIPMENT
Music Stand - Music Stands are a requirement to learning trumpet. Any music stand will work. Wire music stands work well for beginners and are affordable. Manhasset is a great stand company. Used music stands are perfectly fine, too.
Mouthpieces
BACH Mouthpieces - New or used. Used BACH mouthpieces must have printed "BACH" under the rim + the size, no dings or brass showing through on the rim, and a round shank.
BACH 5C Mouthpiece (Great for beginners)
BACH 3C Mouthpiece (For intermediate and advanced players)
BACH 3C Mega Tone Mouthpiece (For a richer tone)
BACH 1.5C Mouthpiece (For advanced players)
Mouthpiece Sleeve / Tone Intensifier
MUTES - Tom Crown, Jo-Ral, Denis Wick
BOOKS
These are a few of the technique books that I've found to work best for my students. You will not need all of these books as each one is a little different in its approach. I recommend the best fit for each student based on their specific needs.
TECHNOLOGY
Accompaniment for many solos, sight reading, practice aid.
Tonal Energy Tuner App
Affordable tuner and metronome app.
Trumpets
These are the reputable brands of trumpets. In my experience, any other brand (no matter how amazing the price) results in a frustrated student, a broken instrument, and a repair shop that will not repair. Please, only rent or buy a trumpet from this list. Used trumpets are definitely a great option. They are not only more affordable, but in many cases, a better instrument. Trumpets of quality brands tend to age very well when taken care of.

*Jupiter trumpets should only be bought if made in Taiwan. Newer is better for Jupiter.
